Memento Pmonk
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is The P3 Fund?
A: As we said on the homepage, Little P (a/k/a P3) has been incurring some serious legal and medical expenses since last Fall. These amounts are far beyond his widowed mother’s ability, so this fund was started by Patrick’s brother in an attempt to help offset these bills.
Patrick touched many people’s lives in some way or another, and we have been overwhelmed by the generosity of everybody who contributes to The P3 Fund or who participated in the auction.
Q: Who is Patrick Power 2?
A: Patrick Power 2 was a much loved father, husband, son, brother, family, and friend. Patrick, who was known to many as Pmonk, died on October 16th of 2007 - he had just turned 38. He and his new family were living in Alfred, NY where he had recently become a Professor with the SUNY at Alfred in their College of Technology.
Patrick grew up in Hampton, VA where he became a legend and made several lifelong friends along the way. He moved to Richmond, VA after high school where he continued legendary status while also managing to earn a degree in Cinematography from Virginia Commonwealth University. He began his teaching career there with web design and video classes for the Communication Arts Department of the School of the Arts. He moved to Alfred in 2005 and received his MFA in Electronic Integrated Art from Alfred University last May. He was an innovative Photographer and Video Artist who could often be found on a rooftop enjoying a sunset.
A friend, a teacher, a brother - Patrick was many things to many, many people.
